I have loved photography since I was a child, which has translated into a love for cinematography. I've created travel photos and videos since I was a young teenager (as you can still find on my Instagram page). I started filming professionally when I was 17, creating YouTube videos for scholieren.com. When I started my Film and TV studies, I got the opportunity to film more narrative films and develop my ability to let cinematography tell a story. I also developed my technical skills by working with Sony and Blackmagic cinema cameras. I have also filmed several freelance productions, including long-form content like interviews and short-form promotional content for social media. 

I'll use a few different terms to differentiate between the different responsibilities I had during production.  'Cinematographer' and 'Director of Photography' include being in charge of creating the shot list, storyboard, and lighting plans, but as a 'Director of Photography,' I was not the camera operator.
